Founded in 2002, NuSuara is a venture-backed software company that develops and licenses speech technologies for human centric computer interactions. We provide multi-lingual speech recognition and text-to-speech engines, as well as natural language information retrieval know-how. In contrast to other speech companies, we develop these technologies with a unique focus on Asian languages that caters for Asian speaking habits. To date, our software supports 6 languages, namely Bahasa Malaysia, English (Malaysia/Singapore), English (US), Cantonese, Mandarin, and Thai. We are, in particular, the World's only provider of Bahasa Malaysia and Thai speech solutions.

NuSuara works closely with system integrators and service providers, offering innovative tools for application building and customization, call center integration, as well as attractive licensing arrangements. In addition, NuSuara collaborates with OEM partners to design and produce innovative consumer products with instinctive human-machine interfaces.

In 2003, Malaysia Venture Capital (MAVCAP) injected more than RM 8 million into NuSuara for continued R&D and business operations. We have developed our intellectual properties in speech technology independently.

NuSuara achieved MSC Status in May 2003.
